Ackleja is our Helga May sister label that takes its heritage from Sweden (where the founder of Helga May is from). The Ackleja brand incorporates Nordic elements inspired by folklore and antique embroideries.
The brand is exclusively designed in-house and produced in small batch numbers to keep its originality. How do you pronounce it? Try: A-CLAY-A 😊
The name comes from a grand homestead, named just that: Ackleja, built a very long time ago and still proudly standing in the Stockholm Archipelago — a place where natural beauty, softness, and quiet elegance all come together. The garment designs are inspired by the homestead's many different rooms. From a welcoming entryway, or a quaint little girl's bedroom, the prints harken back to unique decor of the past - timeless, nostalgic, yet totally wearable.
Each Ackleja piece reflects this spirit through delicate prints, intricate embroidery, and thoughtfully considered design. Our collections are created to be worn as refined matching sets or styled effortlessly as individual statement pieces.
